THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF SPIKE MILLIGAN DVD REVIEW

This documentary is a intimate and person portrait of the comic genius of Spike Milligan, done through the eyes of his brother, three daughters and his third wife. Spike trotted the thin line between genius and debilitating depression. The celebrities who discuss his career are Joanna Lumley, Michael Palin amoung others. The documentary is possible through video, audio and photographic archives. This film was a co-production with Film Finance Corporation Australia, RTE-Ireland among others. This disc includes 2 audio commentaries by the director and Spike himself and also with Spike’s three daughters and 6 featurettes about different aspects of Spike’s life and home movies.
