The third season starts off with a whole new companion! The series stars David Tennant as the doctor with Freema Agyeman as Dr. Martha Jones. It was nice not to see Rose in this series. Her character was getting all too mighty and the character needed a rest, although I hear that she will be in the last few episodes of the upcoming fourth season.
This season also had the yearly Christmas special entitled “The Runaway Bride” with Catherine Tate as the bride. The season itself was up and down this year with some fantastic episodes such as Human Nature/The Family of Blood, Blink and Utopia to the downright disappointing Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks and the Last of the Timelords. This set has quite a few extras such as audio commentaries on all 14 episodes and there are also outtakes, deleted scenes with Freema Agyeman’s and David Tennant’s video diaries and the confidential cut-down documentaries and Dr Who BBC trailers.
